STEPHENVILLE -

The Stephenville group called The 5 Stages is doing an encore performance of its very successful show "Who Turned Up the Heat and other songs about life."

The group - Gary Gillam, Lisa Henley, Lynette Murrin, Stella Campbell and Susan Fowlow - was thrilled with the response to the first show.

"The audience seemed to really enjoy it," Campbell, who sings and stage manages the group, said.

"The feedback has been incredible," said Gillam, who sings, arranges and plays all the music.

The show itself is a compilation of songs that trace life's journey. Fowlow is the narrator who provides her own brand of subtle, well-timed humour to keep the audience laughing their way through the whole show.

"At first, I wasn't sure about going," Fred Campbell, an audience member of the first show, said.

"I thought it would just be a night of nice singing, but it was great. It was like going to a cabaret."

So, if you have ever been in love, had children, memory lapses, raised teenagers, had hot flashes, been picked last, felt the unpredictability of a hormone rush or had a midlife crisis, you should find something for you in this show.

The show will be performed in the second stage at the Stephenville Arts and Culture Center on Tuesday, June 1 at 8 p.m. Tickets are on sale now at the Arts and Culture Centre box office.
