Brothers Darryl and Chad John and cousin Paul John have built up a strong fan base in both their native province and in their current home base in Alberta.

With rich sibling harmonies shining through in their original songs, the band recently signed a record deal with Blue Sapphire Music and their music is being distributed through DEP/Universal Music in Canada. Their debut album is scheduled for release

in the fall, but they have already released their first single, “I Owe You One.”

The album was recorded in Nashville with acclaimed producer Bob Bullock, whose credits include Reba McEntire and Shania Twain. They were joined in the recording studio by an impressive list of experienced session musicians like guitarist Brent Mason, who has worked with numerous artists such as Alan Jackson, Neil Diamond, Willie Nelson, Shania Twain and Brooks and Dunn, just to name a few.

Other players included Chris Leuzinger, who has played with Garth Brooks; Chad Cromwell, who has worked with Neil Young and Dire Straits; Dan Dugmore, who has also worked with Dire Straits; Glen Worf, who has worked with Bob Seger and Kenny Rogers; and Grammy-winning songwriter John Jarvis.

While home in Newfoundland and Labrador, Friends of Jack played at a cancer benefit concert in St. Alban’s and also visited radio stations in Corner Brook, Stephenville, St. John’s and Marystown.
