Are you trying to sell your home during the Holidays? It may not be the peak time for real estate, but you can be sure that people viewing your home are serious buyers. Enticing them with stylish decorations will help them visualize ringing in the New Year in your home!

4.  Don’t over-decorate:  Too many decorations can distract buyers from focusing on your home.  Fewer well placed pieces on the other hand can accentuate your home’s best features.  For example: a grouping of fresh pine boughs on your mantelpiece.  These also add the wonderful scent of evergreens that remind us of Christmas.

5.  Take is easy on the lights:  Every inch of your home does not need to be lit, and try to avoid those large blow-up lawn ornaments while your home is on the market.  Instead, draw attention to your special feature trees with a simple set of lights, or accentuate the nice railing drawing you to the front entrance.

I hope these tips help you land that buyer in what we know to be a challenging time to sell.
