CORNER BROOK - Representatives from Work Place Health and Safety Compensation Commission (WHSCC) will speak to members of the west coast business community next week.

The Greater Corner Brook Board of Trade will host members Ralph Tucker, chair of the board of directors, and Leslie Galway, chief executive officer, Wednesday.

Tucker is responsible for the overall governance of the Workers Compensation Commission for the province and Galway is responsible for the overall direction and leadership of the organization.

Both representatives have a long history of involvement with a variety of organizations and associations throughout the province of Newfoundland.

"There are many different elements to promoting health and well-being within the work environment that many people would fail to consider," said Mel Woodman, board of trade president.

"It is great that WHSCC is willing to highlight some of these issues at our luncheon."

The luncheon will take place from noon-2 p.m. at the Greenwood Inn and Suites.
