Healthy eating and heritage projects receive grants

Two west coast organizations have received age-friendly grants from the provincial government.

The Dunfield Park Community Centre in Corner Brook will use its $7,000 for a healthy eating program for senior tenants of Newfoundland and Labrador Housing.

The Deer Lake Economic Development Committee will use the $9,000 it received to enable a series of seniors’ gatherings to identify and catalogue documents and community artifacts that will culminate in a heritage fair.

The Age-Friendly Newfoundland and Labrador Grants Program is an initiative of the Provincial Healthy Aging Policy Framework.
