This week Christmas was in the air at Sacred Heart.
The Grade 1s have been doing some amazing nativity pictures. They used tinsel to make the hay sparkle and shine. With Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus, we all know it will give everyone Christmas cheer. The Grade 1s have also put up their Christmas tree and decorated it. It is downright beautiful.
Ms. Pardy's Grade 4 class wrote about their preferred movies and why they like them. They also wrote some pretty neat letters to Santa Claus which are very detailed, if we do say so ourselves. Both Grade 4 classes made carollers as a beautiful art project.
Mrs. Allen spoke to the Grade 5 classes about Internet safety. This included always having permission from a parent/guardian before sharing personal information online. They also discussed the importance of talking to an adult about things that make them feel uncomfortable.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Caines Grade 6 class learned about Pepero Day. Pepero Day is similar to Valentine's Day but it is a South Korean celebration held Nov. 11.
Last but not least, we had the primary concert Tuesday evening with special guests, the kindergartens.
The guests sang "Up on the Housetop" and "Ring the Bells at Christmas Time." The Grade 3s starred as actors in "Jingle All the Way," a musical about Johnnie (played by Ryder Duffney-Hann), Nellie (Matalie Langer) and Susie (Jenesta Butt) who are on a quest to find Santa (Jesse Thibeau).

But while they are on the quest, the jolly old fellow loses the jingle in his heart. This musical was complete with great acting by all the Grade 3 students and fantastic singing by the Grade 1s and 2s.
What a great job.
