Girl Guides create packages for pediatric unit

Grace Hatcher, right, and Alana Carroll, both members of the 16th Corner Brook Girl Guides, pack away 34 kits the group put together for kids that are in isolation on the pediatric unit at Western Memorial Regional Hospital.

Each bag contains things like crayons, pencils, erasers, glue, colouring books and shampoo.

This project will help them earn a challenge badge.

    This is an awesome idea, something that is much needed at WMRH. My 3 year old spent several weeks in isolation last year and would have loved to receive something like this to pass away the time.
