MASSEY DRIVE — Holly Walsh received the most support from the Massey Drive electorate, as she finished well ahead of the remaining six selected to council following Tuesday evening’s municipal election results.
Walsh rounded in with a total of 328 votes, while Gord Davis was the next closest candidate with 269 votes to join her on council.
The final five of the seven councillors elected were Charlene Connors with 251; Gord Halfyard with 221; Penney Piercey with 216; Dwayne Decker with 185; then Dianna Wiseman slipped into the final position with 180 votes.
Thomas Howe who fell short in votes with just 150 which means he will not represent on council.
Of the 960 eligible voters, 39 per cent showed up at the ballot box Tuesday to cast their votes for council, which stands to represent 374 voters.
With a council now appointed, the councillors will decide among themselves who will represent mayor and deputy mayor.
