Corner Brook -

All eight of the unions at Corner Brook Pulp and Paper have voted to agree to a wage deferral request from Kruger Inc.,

For the past week or more, the seven unions represented by the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers (CEP) Union of Canada as well as Lodge 1567 of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, have been voting on the proposal from the paper mill's parent company.

The company asked the unions to take a 10 per cent cut in pay, which could be paid back to the workers if the mill can improve its bottom line.

The last of the voting was done by local 60N, which represents loggers and silviculture workers, who voted Monday and Tuesday.
