Springdale Marina Development
(Concept Plan and Viability/Feasibility Assessment)

To help enhance the growth of the recreational boating and tourism industries in the area, the Town of Springdale is requesting proposals from qualified consultants/firms to prepare a detailed marina development plan which will include a concept design as well as a viability/feasibility assessment. The project will provide the Town with strategic direction for marina development.

Sealed tenders for each of the above projects, marked as to contents only, and addressed to Western Health, c/o ATLANTIC ENGINEERING CONSULTANTS LIMITED, 34 Main Street, Corner Brook, NL, A2H 1C3, will be received up to 14:00 hours, local time, Monday, November 10, 2014.

Copies of Plans & Specifications may be obtained from the office of ATLANTIC ENGINEERING CONSULTANTS LIMITED, 34 Main Street, Corner Brook, NL, (709) 634-3612 upon payment of a non-refundable fee of $25.00 (HST included) for each project. Documents may be reviewed at the St. John’s office of Newfoundland & Labrador Construction Association.

The scope of these projects generally involves:

#0171-1444     Demolition and reconstruction of reinforced concrete loading dock and associated excavation, backfill, and asphalt repair.

#0971-1440     Demolition and new interior fit-up of three nursing stations and a new laundry     area c/w associated mechanical, electrical and abatement procedures.

    Demolition of stud/gypsum board walls and existing washroom and the reconstruction of spaces to create office, treatment rooms and refurbishing of existing spaces c/w associated electrical       and mechanical.

A Bid Security of 10% will be required.

The Owner does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender for the project.

Sealed Tenders for the above project clearly marked as to contents only and addressed to the City Clerk’s Office, City of Corner Brook, 2nd Floor City Hall, P.O. Box 1080, 5 Park Street, Corner Brook, NL A2H 2W8 will be received up until Thursday, 12:00 Noon, local time, October 30, 2014. Public opening to take place immediately after the Tender Closing Time.

TAKE NOTICE that under and by virtue of the provisions of Section 5 of Chapter C-34, of The Revised Statutes of Newfoundland and Labrador, 1990, as amended, known as the Conveyancing Act, tenders will be accepted at the offices of Murphy & Watton, 17 West Street, Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at 10:30 o’clock in the forenoon, to sell all the right, title and interest to all that piece or parcel of land situate at, Lot 65 on Summer Cottage Development Plan 98A, Aka locally as 114 Beaver Pond Road, Georges Lake, NL, more particularly described in an Indenture of Mortgage registered at the Registry of Deeds for the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador on the 5th day of July, 2012 at Registration number 539147 and remortgaged on the 8th day of February, 2014 Registration number 638901.

The Tender will be held to satisfy an amount due under the hereinbefore described Mortgage(s) on the lands and premises described above. Tenders will be accepted for the lands and premises at the offices of Murphy & Watton up to 10:30 a.m. on the 5th day of November, 2014.

The highest tenderer shall not necessarily be the Purchaser.  The successful tender must be accompanied by a deposit equal to Five  (5%) percent of the tender price with the balance of the purchase price to be paid on closing. The successful tender, if any, will be required to execute an Agreement of Purchase and Sale pursuant to the terms of sale, of the Bank.  The property is sold “as is”. All amounts shall be paid by bank draft, or certified cheque in favour of “Murphy & Watton”. The transaction shall be completed within thirty (30) days of the date of sale. The Mortgagee reserves the right to tender, to reject any tenders, to cancel the tendering process at any time.

Supply of Household Hazardous Waste Management Facilities

The Multi-Materials Stewardship Board (MMSB) is a Crown agency of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador. MMSB supports modern waste management practices with a focus on the development and implementation of waste diversion and recycling programs to ensure a clean and healthy environment throughout the province.

At this time, MMSB is seeking tenders from parties interested in the supply, delivery, off-loading and installation of five (5) Hazardous Waste Management Facilities, for multiple regions of the province.

The deadline for tender submissions is 4:00 p.m. NDT, Tuesday, November 4, 2014.
