The Town of Pasadena is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) to solicit submissions from interested parties to undertake preparation of a   Municipal Integrated Community Sustainability Plan (MICSP), and a corresponding update of the Development Regulations The MICSP and Development Regulations are to provide for effective, innovative and practical sustainable land use policies and development regulations to guide the community for the next ten year planning horizon, and into the longer range future.

TOWN OF HUGHES BROOK
TENDER FOR SNOW CLEARING

The Town of Hughes Brook invites tenders for snowclearing services for the period from October 31, 2016 to April 30, 2017. Contract will include snowclearing, delivery and spreading of ice control materials on all roads and the Town Hall parking lot. The contract will also include clearing snow from fire hydrants.

Sealed tenders clearly marked “SNOW CLEARING TENDER” and addressed as shown above must be received at the Town Office before 4:00 P.M. on Friday, September 30, 2016.

Lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.

Copies of the snow-clearing contract may be obtained from the Town Office at 46 Lidstone’s Drive during regular office hours (1:30 P.M. to 5:30 P.M. Monday to Friday).

Phase 1 of the Downtown Urban Design Action Plan is intended to provide beautification and revitalization of the Majestic Square and former White House Lawn areas and
five traffic islands in the downtown sector of Corner Brook. This work will include the installation of approximately 640 m of concrete curb, 1200 m2 of brick pavers, 170 m2
of concrete slab, 300 m2 of asphalt paving, planting beds, landscaping, topsoil and sods, traffic signage, and lighting.

A Bid Security of 10% will be required.

NOTICE OF RESERVED PUBLIC AUCTION/TENDER

TAKE NOTICE that under and by virtue of the provisions of the Conveyancing Act, R.S.N.L. 1990, c. C-34, an auction will be held at the office of Curtis, Dawe Lawyers 11th Floor, Fortis Building, 139 Water Street, St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, on October 12, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. to auction land(s) and premises consisting of and    situate at 25 A Harbourview Drive, Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador, the said lands being more particularly described in an Indenture of Mortgage registered on May 3, 2010, as Registration No. 388545, of the Registry of Deeds for Newfoundland and Labrador. The auction will be held to satisfy an amount due under the hereinbefore described mortgage on the lands and premises described above. Tenders will also be accepted for the property at the office of Curtis, Dawe Lawyers up to 3:00 p.m. on October 12, 2016.

TERMS OF AUCTION/SALE

The highest bidder/tenderer shall not necessarily be the purchaser. The successful bidder must pay a deposit of 10% of the purchase price by certified cheque payable to "Taylor MacLellan Cochrane (In Trust)" and submitted to the office of Curtis, Dawe on or before 4:00 pm on October 12, 2016.  When submitting a tender, you must provide a sealed envelope clearly marked "Do Not Open/Tender/ Corner Brook, NL" specifying the tender price with your deposit enclosed. The tenders, once received by Curtis, Dawe are irrevocable.

The successful bidder/tenderer will pay the balance of the purchase price by certified cheque on completion of the transaction which is to take place within (30) thirty days of October 12, 2016. A deposit made by a successful bidder/tenderer will be deemed a cash deposit or will be forfeited as liquidated damages if the purchase is not   completed by the bidder/tenderer.
