TAKE NOTICE that pursuant to Section 5 of The Conveyancing Act, all that piece or parcel of land and premises situate at 25 Pinchgut Lake, Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador and more particularly described in a Mortgage dated the 28th day of June, 2012 and registered in the               Newfoundland and Labrador Deeds Registry as Registration No. 538624, will be sold by tender on an “as is where is” basis. TERMS OF SALE

A sealed tender package clearly marked “Do Not Open/Tender/Stephenville Crossing, Newfoundland and Labrador” specifying the tender price and enclosing ten percent (10%) of the amount tendered by certified cheque made payable to “McInnes Cooper in Trust” is to be submitted to the offices of McInnes Cooper on or before 5:00 o’clock p.m. on Friday the 9th day of September, 2016. The tenders, once received by McInnes Cooper, are      irrevocable.

Tenders are to be opened in private at the offices of McInnes Cooper on Monday, the 12th day of September, 2016. Deposit cheques for unsuccessful tenders will be returned immediately by registered post.

The successful tenderer will pay the balance of the purchase price by certified cheque on completion of the transaction which is to take place within thirty (30) days of the tender opening. A deposit of the successful tenderer will be deemed a cash deposit or will be forfeited as liquidated damages if the purchase is not completed by the tenderer.

CBDC LONG RANGE

Requests for Proposals

The consultant will conduct research that will focus on enhancing the “college town” concept in Stephenville and identity business opportunities that may relate to meeting the needs of the postsecondary market.

SCOPE OF WORK

• The consultant shall submit a detailed methodology that will identity the type of primary research they will undertake.
• The consultant will be asked to do a review of a couple of other jurisdictions to gather best practices of the success/failures of the college town concept.
• The consultant will do interviews with and/or focused consultant sessions with groups of students and faculty from the various post-secondary educational intuitions within the area.
• The consultant shall include in the report the identification of business opportunities based on their research & include an evaluation of each opportunity.

TIMELINES

It is anticipated that with funding approval this project will commence no later than October 17, 2016 and be completed for review by the Steering Committee on or before January 16, 2017 with a presentation to the Economic Committee of Town of Stephenville no later than February 13, 2017.

THE CONSULTANT

The Consultant must have experience in the following:

• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience in conducting professional interviews
• Experience in working with community groups and educational institutions
• Experience in preparation of comprehensive reports and the ability to make recommendations based on obtained research.
