A new interventional angiography suite for Western Memorial Regional Hospital does not mean dye tests for cardiac patients will soon be available in Corner Brook.
The new piece of digital imaging equipment was announced in the provincial budget last week.
The equipment is used for dye tests to observe blood flow in veins and arteries in the human body, but patients needing such a test to determine blockages in the heart will still have to travel to St. John's for that procedure.
For more in-depth coverage, see Wednesday's edition of The Western Star.
