Man who allegedly stole beer from city store arrested after incident

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary charged an adult male resident of Corner Brook with theft under $5000 following an incident at a local convenience store.

The male stole beer and fled the store. He was later arrested in the surrounding area.

He will also be charged with uttering threats to cause death to a police officer following an incident during his arrest.

The male will be summoned to court at a later date.
