Corner Brook -
An arrest warrant was issued and vacated within a half an hour in provincial court in Corner Brook Tuesday.
It appeared Samuel Hedley Parsons, 23, had missed his court date, so Judge Wayne Gorman granted Crown Attorney Michael Fox's request for an arrest warrant.
Kimberly Burridge, the man's lawyer, appeared in court on his behalf shortly after and the warrant was vacated.
Parsons faces one count of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. He is charged jointly with Aaron Joel Butler, 22.
The two men are set to appear in provincial court in Corner Brook again Jan. 12.
They were arrested when police searched a Windsor Street home May 20, where 49 pounds of marijuana and $38,000 cash was seized.
Matthew Myers, 21, was also arrested. He has already pleaded not guilty and has a three-day trial scheduled to start Jan. 6.
