FIRST PHOTO: As part of Pasadena Ski and Nature Park’s participation in Snow West events, John Randell of Nicholsville demonstrates the heritage craft of snowshoe making at the club's chalet in Pasadena on Sunday. Randell, 74, has been making snowshoes for over 25 years. Over 75 per cent of the materials used in making snowshoes comes from recycled materials.

SECOND PHOTO: Participants were invited on a guided snowshoe and nature walk with biologists Lois Bateman and Henry Mann. Here, Bateman and nature park volunteer Wally Skinner strap on traditional heritage-style snowshoes while Henry Mann tries out the newest, factory-produced equipment.
