STEPHENVILLE — Odelia Caul was quite happy with the Stephenville Day events held at Mayfield Soccer Field on Minnesota Drive on Monday.
Caul and her children, Ema, 12, Gia, 9, and James, 7, were among the hundreds who hit the field for lots of fun to celebrate the town's civic holiday.
"The best is that the weather is co-operating and the events could be held outside for a great time had by all," Caul said.
Her kids were excited to eat cotton candy and had loads of fun in the jumpy rides, which included a caterpillar and a castle. Another big attraction for the kids was fire truck rides provided by Marine Institute's Safety and Emergency Response Training program.
Caul said there were lots of games and activities for kids of all ages, and said the local entertainment was fantastic. Caul also commended the group of young people who organized Monday's events.
