About 30 people from the St. Anthony area are holding a protest at Confederation Building in St. John's this morning demanding a meeting with Premier Danny Williams over the province's decision last month to relocate the air ambulance from St. Anthony to Happy Valley-Goose Bay.

The protesters, whose numbers reached to about 50 people at one point this morning as local supporters joined in, say they want Williams to admit it was a mistake to announced the move, and that the decision will cost lives.

They are challenging Williams to be "man enough" to meet with them and will not leave until they get a response. In the very least, the protesters say they want government to commission a new report on air ambulance service in the province because the one the decision was based upon is flawed.
