CORNER BROOK — Gary Kelly is the newest member of Corner Brook City Council. Kelly won the seat with 987 votes.

June Alteen picked up 656 votes, while Trent Quinton had 530, Alton Whelan had 471 followed up Tarragh Shanahan with 208. See video on this website tomorrow.

    Good to see. This guy stood out from all of the others and that's likely why he won. He was in-tune with al of the latest technologies, which helped lock-up the younger voters - they probably wouldn't have voted anyway. You also have to give him his props - to stand outside and cover that much time/distance getting the word out, in an old-school fashion really connected with people. You can measure how much he wanted it by that alone! Anyone can print flyers and jam plastic signs all over people's yards. This was different and the electorate knew that.
