The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) has charged a 38-year-old Corner Brook woman with assault with a weapon and common assault.
This morning at approximately 6 a.m., RNC Patrol Services responded to a complaint of an assault at commercial property in the Mount Bernard Avenue area of Corner Brook.
As the result of the ensuing investigation, the woman was arrested for allegedly hitting another woman with her purse and spitting on her.
The victim was not injured in these assaults.
The accused has been held in custody for a court appearance at provincial court later today.

You are comparing a purse to a knife. lol "the police dont make as assault, steal, do drug, break and enter...or whatever. they just catch us when we do." Why you doing all those things? Are you a troubled individual?
