Corner Brook man charged with assaulting woman

CORNER BROOK A 40-year-old man has been charged with assault in relation to a domestic disturbance reported to the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary in Corner Brook on Tuesday night.

The woman who was allegedly assaulted received superficial injuries that did not require medical attention in the incident that was called in around 11:15 p.m.

The man was released from police custody to appear in provincial court at a later date.
