CORNER BROOK The cause of a residental fire on McWhirter's Lane, Wednesday night has been ruled accidental.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is not releasing the specific cause of the fire in the house that nearly 200 cats were removed from back in May.
Members of the Corner Brook Fire Department responded to the blaze around midnight and had the situation under control quickly.
According to firefighters on the scene, there was too much debris in the house to immediately pinpoint a cause.
Once the fire was extingushed, RNC fire investigators and its forensic identification section assumed the site to conduct an investigation, Thursday.
No one was hurt in the fire, however the house was extensively damaged.
