CORNER BROOK — A Deer Lake man entered guilty pleas to two drug charges when he appeared in provincial court in Corner Brook this week.
A pre-sentence report has been requested for Timothy Ball, 21, and the courts will not hear the facts and sentencing submissions on the charges of possession and possession for the purposes of trafficking until Oct. 19.
Ball, son of Deer Lake Mayor Dean Ball, and co-accused Zachery White, 22, were arrested following a search of a vehicle by the RCMP and RNC joint forces drug team officers in Deer Lake on May 1.
The police seized cocaine, marijuana and prescription drugs during the search.
White, who was charged with one count of possession for the purposes of trafficking has not yet entered a plea and will appear in court Sept. 18.
