A transport truck left its lane and traveled approximately 250-300 feet down the median late this morning near Little Rapids.

When it came to rest, police say, it had very little damage, and it had not tipped over. Police had to close one lane to for most of the afternoon in the area, but the RCMP said traffic slowed but did not come to a stop.

The driver was taken to hospital, there were no other injuries and no other vehicles were involved. Police say alcohol was not a factor, and the investigation will continue.

Probably lost control travelling across the ridge that was made "THREE" weeks ago by construction crews. Although idiots are driving way above the 50K speed limit posted, I've witnessed several drivers who were going a reasonable speed, almost loss control. It's good to see repairs made, but three weeks from milling to new pavement is not acceptable. No reason why paving crews couldn't be a day behind.
