First when I moved to the west coast, Tina and I played a crusty old couple in a short sketch called "Viagra Falls." We had a lot of fun.

In my youth, I thought she epitomized class, confidence and dignity.

Well, as it turns out, I was right.

What I will remember most is her insight, strength and her effortless ability to make people feel at ease.

The was I'll remember Tina is where I used to work with her at B&K Carpet when it used to be in the TIMCO Mall building. Tina was a very nice person and a great person to work with.

I will remember Tina for many reasons ( MMSRC, Old Sam Day, her wonderful art, her smile, and her inner beauty) but the one I want to note here is her particpation in the Church Choir. Tina had a beautiful voice both as a soloist on numerous occasions and as a choir member. It was always great to see her Sunday morning. I think it was before Mass I heard most about her boys - you were the stars of her life and she loved you both so much. ANN

Forward: You would understand how this letter was intended to sound. Dear Tina, I am angry that any of us have to write these tribute to you so soon. Like many others, I expected you to be with us for many more years. I was not supposed to get the call that you had passed so young. Tina, what can I add that hundreds of people aren’t already saying across the province of Newfoundland and Labrador this week? You were a friend, a colleague, and a real inspiration for those of us who have chosen unconventional paths through life to become ‘Artists.’ Not only were you a successful artist, with your exhibitions and portraits, but you were a successful spokesperson for the creative and visual arts as well. You provided local artist with a clear, succinct, and credible voice with the media, city council, and within professional organizations. I just wish we could have held onto you a little longer. As an artist I felt your passion and determination to complete projects and to bridge gaps first hand. Where I would see dead-ends you would see a challenge that needed to be solved or friendships to be made. You never gave up and you befriended those who stood in your path instead of fighting with them. I will remember you for the strength and passion of your convictions and your calm public demeanor. My thoughts and feelings are with your family and friends at this time. Thank you for your years of friendship and your kind words during critiques. Cheers, Phil
