Cleanup will resume later this week in Rocky Harbour after excess rainfall flooded basements and roads in the Gros Morne town.

An emergency town meeting was called Monday night as rainfall resulting from Hurricane Leslie pelted the area, washing out culverts and damaging residential areas.

A town official said the area’s flood preparedness will need to be looked at in the near future.
