HAPPY VALLEY-GOOSE BAY — Supreme Court Justice Robert Stack has delayed sentencing of former Happy Valley-Goose Bay teacher and librarian Mark Baxter White until he is able to review evidence related to the case.
As part of the police investigation photos and videos were seized.
Stack advised the court he needed to see the evidence against him before he could proceed.
In 2010 White was charged with making and distributing child pornography and luring a child. He later pleaded guilty to these charges. The Labrador School Board suspended him from his school position at that time.
The charges involved a teenage girl in the United States.
On Tuesday, White appeared before Stack via videoconference from his current home in Corner Brook.
He is scheduled to reappear before Stack for sentencing on Oct. 2 at 1:30 p.m.
