STEPHENVILLE — Matthew Francis O’Quinn, the 36-year-old Stephenville man charged with forcible confinement and other charges, now has two trial dates set.

His first is on Oct. 31 for charges of forcible confinement, three of assault, three of uttering threats and two breaches of probation.

His other trial date is set for Nov. 8 and will include charges of using a firearm in the commission of an offence, another of pointing a firearm, four charges of not complying with conditions of probation orders, four charges of break and enter and a charge of uttering threats.

On July 15, O'Quinn was arrested on a warrant for failing to comply with the conditions of a probation order and further investigation relating to domestic violence led to many of these charges.

He has also been charged in relation to several break and enters into cabins in the Flat Bay Brook Road area that occurred within two months previous to that incident.
