A woman was injured after she jumped from her car to stop a runaway stroller with a young child in it on Hamlyn Road in St. John’s shortly after 3 p.m. today.
The child was reportedly crying following the incident, but didn’t appear harmed.
Bystanders said the woman was heading up Hamlyn Road, between Canada Drive and Heatherton Place, when she observed the unattended stroller rolling down the hill.
The woman put her car in park and ran towards the stroller using her body to stop it, and getting knocked over. The stroller had been heading toward Canada Drive.
The woman was treated by paramedics at the scene and released.
The RNC is investigating the incident.
