RNC/RCMP street drug unit seizes cocaine from Cox's Cove home

A man and woman have been charged following the seizure of a quantity of cocaine from a house in Cox's Cove.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) and Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Joint Forces Street Level Drug team executed a search warrant on the Cox's Cove residence.

On Oct. 12 a search warrant was executed under the Controlled Drug and Substances Act on the residence. As a result, a quantity of cocaine was seized, with what police describe as a street value of $2,250, along with $1,490 in cash.

A 26-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man, both residents of Cox's Cove, have been charged with possession for purpose of trafficking.

They both have been released to appear in Corner Brook Provincial court at a later date.

The RNC-RCMP Joint Forces Street Level Drug Team is continuing to investigate this incident.
