A C-5 Galaxy American military plane made an emergency landing at Stephenville airport at 6:25 a.m. Saturday morning with 16 people on board, including 12 crew members and four military retirees.

The plane was on its way from New Jersey in the United States to a destination in Germany when an indicator light that there was a fire on board the plane came on and the decision was made to land at the nearest airport.

On Monday afternoon the plane was still at Stephenville airport awaiting a part to be flown in to replace the faulty light.

So where are the snaps of the aircraft? Where did the crew and passengers put up or eat? How did they pass the time during the Stephenville stopover?Equiring minds would like to know. Or is the airport now cloaked in secrecy like the ferry terminals at Port aux Basques and North Sydney?
