CORNER BROOK A Cox’s Cove man was released from custody on Tuesday after agreeing to stay away from the man he allegedly threatened twice in the last month.
Forty-five-year-old Lonnie Leroy Wells was arrested by the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary at 11:45 a.m. on Monday.
He was charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm against a 45-year-old man at a commercial property on Mount Bernard Avenue.
He was also charged with a second count of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm in relation to another incident involving the same victim alleged to have occurred on Nov. 17. The two men are known to each other.
Wells will be back in court on Feb. 5.
