Man charged with uttering threats

CORNER BROOK A 45-year-old Corner Brook man is expected to appear in provincial court today to answer to a charge of uttering threats.

The man was arrested on Tuesday after the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary responded to a complaint from the West Street area. A 21-year-old city woman told police she had been threatened by a man known to her.

Upon arrival in the area, members located the suspect and arrested him without incident.

The man, who also faces a charge of breach of an undertaking, was held in custody pending today’s court appearance.
