Keys left in pickup, snowmobile make for easy overnight theft

Royal Newfoundland Constabulary

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary in Corner Brook is looking for the person or persons who stole a pickup truck with a snowmobile in the back of it overnight from a residential driveway on Charles Street in the city.

Both the 2011 Chevrolet Silverado pickup and the 2007 Yamaha Phazer snowmobile had the keys left in them at the time of the theft.

The RNC responded to a report of the theft about 6:45 a.m. today.

Later in the morning the stolen vehicle was found abandoned in a private driveway on Elizabeth Street near Gillam’s Road. The snowmobile was also recovered with the stolen vehicle.

    I really hope for the sake of the person(s) responsible for these activities that they take a "long, hard" look at what they do with their spare time...one of these days, they are going to be caught...not by the RNC, but someone in the "right place...wrong time for them" and I shudder to think what the outcome will be.

      Not a donation!! mistakes happen ppl can forget things due to stress!! so just b/c your keys are left in your truck does not give anyone the right to come on to private propery and take it !!!
