A 32-year-old Sheshatshiu man was charged with impaired driving earlier this weekwhen he drove to the Happy Valley-Goose Bay RCMP detachment to pick up a friends who had earlier been arrested for alcohol-related offences.
The incident occurred at about 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
The male driver had more than two times the legal limit of alcohol in his system.
He will appear in provincial court at a later date.
