Woman found near Trans-Canada Highay has died

Police have confirmed that a woman reported missing Wednesday died after she was found and taken to hospital.

CORNER BROOK The woman who had been reported missing Wednesday morning and found early Wednesday afternoon has died.

According to the RCMP, the woman was taken to Western Memorial Regional Hospital but later died.

Police are not releasing her identity and said foul play was not suspected in her death.

The woman was located near her car that had been found parked at the Pinchgut Lake Restaurant and Convenience Store about 15 kilometres west of Corner Brook.
