The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) are on the scene of a residential fire in Corner Brook.
At approximately 11 a.m., RNC Patrol Services along with the Corner Brook Fire Department responded to a report of a residential fire on Cooks Ave on the east side of the city.
The home, which received extensive damage, was unoccupied at the time due to the owners being out.
Both RNC forensic identification and fire investigation officer will be continuing with this investigation once the area is deemed safe, said a prepared release.
