Teenager charged with assault with a weapon

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary in Corner Brook, responding to an assault complaint Monday night, arrested a 13-year-old city girl.

She was charged with assault with a weapon, assault, and mischief. She was taken from the residence and held for a court appearnce today.

Police reported the victim, who was known to the accused, received minor injuries. The RNC is continuing its investigation.
