About $300 in cash and one pound of marijuana was seized from a home in the city by the RNC-RCMP street level drug unit on Monday.

CORNER BROOK  A 36-year-old city man was changed with possession for the purpose of trafficking by the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary and Royal Canadian Mounted Police street level drug unit on Monday.

At about 4:30 p.m. the drug unit executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act on a residence on the west side of the city. As a result the man, a resident of the home, was arrested and charged.

During the execution of the warrant, police seized one pound of marijuana and about $300 in cash. The man was released from custody and will appear in provincial court here in May.
