The Corner Brook Royal Newfoundland Constabulary has arrested and charged a Corner Brook man with a number of overnight incidents in Corner Brook.

A 24-year-old male resident of Corner Brook has been charged with two counts of break, enter and theft, theft under $5000, theft over $5000, failing to remain at an accident and four counts of trespassing at night.

This morning at approximately 1:19 am RNC Patrol Services responded to a theft from a vehicle complaint in the Greenings Hill area.

At approximately 2:23 a.m. RNC Patrol Services responded to a break, entry and theft at a residence in the Kings Road area. Residents of the household were present inside the home during this break and enter. A number of items were allegedly stolen from the home.

At approximately 3:32 a.m. RNC Patrol Services responded to a single-vehicle collision to a utility pole in the area of Country Road, which resulted in extensive damage to a 2012 Chevrolet Cobalt. The operator of the vehicle had left the scene prior to police arrival.

At approximately 3:40 a.m. RNC Patrol Services responded to a Break, Entry and theft at residence in the Golden Glow Avenue area. A number of personal items were stolen from the home. Residents were inside at the time of incident.

At approximately 4:14 a.m. RNC Patrol Services attended a residence on Winston Street as a result of the collision investigation on Country Road and received a complaint of a theft of a motor vehicle. It was reported that a 2012 Chevrolet Cobalt was stolen from a driveway. The residents of the homes involved in the break and enter complaints were not injured as a result of these incidents.

The accused remains in custody and will appear in provincial court on Thursday.
