Pasadena native involved in San Francisco plane crash

A native of western Newfoundland was among the passengers on a plane that crashed in the UNited States over the weekend.

Mandy McLean of Pasadena was on board Asiana Airlines Flight 214, which crashed on landing at the San Francisco Airport on Saturday. McLean is a student at Stanford University in California.

Two teenagers from China were killed in the crash. The Associated Press is reporting that San Francisco fire officials have acknowledged that one of their emergency vehicles may have run over one of the two Chinese girls. Autopsy results on what caused the girl's death are pending.
