BONNE BAY — Police say more information could come from the medical examiner in St. John’s Tuesday or Wednesday concerning a fire that destroyed a Bonne Bay cabin and killed three people last week.
RCMP Sgt. Marc Coulombe said the bodies were extremely burnt and the examiner may have to use dental records to confirm exactly whose ashes those were in the fire.
“It’s just one of those situations where we need to let the medical examiner do what he needs to do because if we speculate it could come back and bite us,” said Coulombe
Police confirmed over the weekend that the remains found in the rubble were indeed human and sent them to St. John’s to be examined and identified.
