The bail hearing for a man charged with assaulting a woman in Rocky Harbour earlier this week has been set over until this afternoon.
Kenneth Wagman, 39, was arrested by the RCMP Monday and was charged with assault and breaching an undertaking in relation to the incident, which involved a woman known to him.
He appeared in provincial court in Corner Brook briefly Tuesday and a bail hearing had been scheduled for Wednesday morning.
However, the defence made an application to have a witness testify at the bail hearing and the matter had to be adjourned to arrange that person to be called.
Wagman, who is of no fixed address, also has two outstanding breaches of an undertaking before the courts in St. John's stemming from alleged violations of an order prohibiting him from consuming alcohol and contacting a certain person.
There is also a warrant for his arrest issued by a court in Alberta.
