CORNER BROOK A 33-year-old Corner Brook resident remains in custody after he was arrested at a business in the Herald Avenue area Monday afternoon.
Stacey Owen Payne made a brief appearance in provincial court Tuesday afternoon, but the matter was set over until today.
Crown attorney Ed Ring was opposed to Payne’s release and a date for a bail hearing will be scheduled when the matter is called again today.
Payne has six charges against him, stemming from the incident reported to the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary around 2:33 p.m. Monday.
The charges include one count of uttering threats, three breaches of probation and two counts of breaching an undertaking.
