CORNER BROOK The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is seeking the public’s assistance in relation to a hit-and-run collision which occurred on O’Connell Drive in the area of Margaret Bowater Park early Monday afternoon.
At around 1 p.m., the RNC responded to the accident near the entrance to Jubilee Field. A blue Ford Fiesta, travelling eastbound on O’Connell Drive, was stopped in traffic when a light brown or grey-colored Honda Civic allegedly collided with the rear bumper of the Ford.
There was minor damage to both vehicles and the driver of the Ford had a minor injury.
According to the RNC, the driver of the Honda initially stopped at the scene, but left without providing any of the required information under the Highway Traffic Act.
The male driver is described as being around 25 years old, with short blonde hair and tattoos on his forearms. The Civic would have sustained damage to the front of the vehicle.
