PASADENA — Dave Decker has announced his intention to run in the upcoming municipal election in Pasadena.
Originally from Rocky Harbour, Decker moved to Pasadena in the spring of 2012. He is a graduate of Memorial University and is currently working toward a masters degree in education through the University of New Brunswick.
In a prepared news release, Decker says the issues he’ll focus on in the lead-up to the Sept. 24 election will include placing families first, recreation and youth, attracting new business, planning for the future and the environment.
“If elected I will work toward making sure our town rewards our people for their efforts by making their home a safe, clean, and prosperous place to live and do business,” Decker said in the release.
Decker has worked at the Bonne Bay Marine Station and as a student recruiter at Grenfell.
He and his wife Kendra have a two-year-old daughter, Katherine, and a spirited dog named Humber.
