CORNER BROOK — The City of Corner Brook is partnering with ACAP Humber Arm to help keep shorelines clean so and free of environmental hazards.
A community-wide shoreline clean-up will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 28 beginning at 5 p.m. at the waterfront area/boat launch on Griffin Drive, next to the Ultramar facilities.
Gloves, bags and sharps containers will be provided on site. Staff of ACAP Humber Arm will be on hand to facilitate the clean-up.
This is a community event for people of all ages, especially students and children who have an opportunity to learn about the impacts of litter and pollution and build environmental stewardship. Everyone is welcome.
