The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has told the Royal Canadian Mounted Police that is has been unable to determine the cause and manner of the deaths of the three individuals killed in the fire at a cabin in the Big Bonne Bay Pond area on Aug. 6.
The RCMP also said that the cause of the fire has been deemed undetermined by the Office of the Fire Commissioner.
The names of the victims in the Whitewash Road fire are not being released at the request of the families. Police earlier identified the victims as a 56-year-old Gillams man along with a 50-year-old woman and her son, both from Trout River.
The RCMP is continuing its investigation and will follow up on any information which may arise.
