CORNER BROOK The Corner Brook RNC is looking for witnesses or information in the vandalism of heavy equipment at the site of the future junior high school.
It is believed that sometime late Friday night, about $40,000 was caused to five pieces of heavy equipment at the former Regina High School site on Mount Bernard Avenue.
A tractor trailer had all the windows beaten out or damaged and had damages inside the cab. A small excavator had a door window broken out and was spray painted. A bull dozer had a window broken. A roller was spray painted and believed to have been operated. A paver was also painted.
Also, an excavator had the door opened, and police speculate that it was entered. There were no damages done to this vehicle.
According to Sgt. Robert Edwards, the forensic identification team has been called in to assist the patrol section in the ongoing investigation. The RNC has been searchign for witnesses, including canvassing the immediate neighbourhood hoping somebody saw something which may assist in that investigation.
