SPRUCE BROOK Police are looking at laying a charge against the father of two boys that were involved in an all-terrain vehicle accident on a trail near Spruce Brook on the weekend.
Cpl. John Butler of the Bay St. George RCMP said the Corner Brook man could possibly be charged in relation to a contravention of the Motorized Snow Vehicles and All Terrain Vehicles Act for allowing the young boy to operate this vehicle.
The man’s 10-year-old son, the driver of a youth-sized side-by-side, along with his five-year-old son, a passenger on the vehicle, were involved in an accident Sunday evening with a full-sized side-by-side, driven by a 34-year-old Corner Brook woman.
Butler said luckily there were no injuries to the boys or the woman, however, there were extensive damages to the 170-cc side-by-side that the boys were in and minor damages to the larger vehicle.
Butler said the investigation into the accident is continuing.
