The Pepsi Studio in Corner Brook will have new bleachers in the near future with the support of a $15,000 grant through the provincial government’s Community Capital Grant Program.
“As a government, we are pleased to provide this $15,000 grant in an effort to improve this facility’s recreation and sports infrastructure,’ said Terry French, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation. “With the purchase of new seating, spectators of all ages will be able to enjoy a variety of sport and recreation activities in a comfortable setting.”
The City of Corner Brook’s Recreation and Leisure Services Department is among the many community-based organizations, municipalities, schools, and recreation commissions that have received funding to upgrade their recreation and sport infrastructure through the latest capital grant program investments.
“With the recent renovations and improved sporting venues at the Pepsi Centre annex over the past few months, the announcement today of $15,000 grant for new bleachers will be an added feature to advance comfort for those participating and watching recreation and sporting activities at the facility,” said Vaughn Granter, MHA for Humber West. “I am delighted to say this announcement is another positive move for recreation and sport in Corner Brook.”
