CORNER BROOK — The man accused of stealing a boat from the Allen’s Cove marina in June is going to trial Oct. 22.
A half day has been set aside to hear the case against David Arthur Sharpe, 25, who was charged after members of the Bay of Islands Yacht Club intercepted a sailboat taken from the marina without the owner’s permission June 20.
The taken vessel was about a 15-minute sail outside the marina.
Sharpe has pleaded not guilty to charges of theft over $5,000 and to
a charge of theft under $5,000. He has other outstanding offences before the court, but the status of those charges will be updated on the day of his scheduled trial.
